Description

2016 Latin Grammy Nominee for “Song Of The Year!” Imagine an American songwriter finding a young Brazilian-American singer with a captivating voice and making a record with world-class musicians, and you’re part of the dream of this album-“Imaginário.”

John Finbury needed just the right voice to sing his Brazilian-style songs in native Portuguese, as crafted by lyricist Ned Claflin. Luckily, he found Marcella Camargo. No one anticipated how good these songs were going to sound. “You write them,” John says, “and you hope they come alive.” The results, recorded and co-produced by Bob Patton, are amazingly alive, thanks in large measure to the players: Tim Ray (Piano), Mark Walker (Drums), Fernando Huergo (Electric Bass), Ricardo Monzon (Percussion and Drums), Claudio Ragazzi (Guitars) and Roberto Cassan (Accordian). And then of course there is the voice of Marcella Camargo who sings these songs of love lost and found with a beauty and sensuality that will bring you back, time and again.

Sometimes you get lucky and capture just the right combination of song, talent, and heart. Is it too early to say “classic”? No. “Imaginario” is real. Enjoy! – Ned Claflin
