Gorgeous modern Brazilian sounds are delivered in this mature session by a collection of superstars. Bassist John Patitucci, percussionist Airto Moreira, drummer Duduka Da Fonseca and guitarist Chico Pinheiro join in with the sweet voice of Thalma De Freitas, keyboardist Vitor Goncalves and percussionist Rogerio Boccato for a half dozen delicious morsels.

De Freitas is sensuous and relaxed on the soft and soulful samba “Sorte” and shows alluring restraint on the bluesy “Maio.” Pinheiro’s guitar gives gentle strums to the lovely “Filha” and peppy atmospheres to “Surrealismo Tropical” while Rain Forrest accordion gives a bohemian feel to “Oracao” and De Freitas’ intro to “Ondas” glides into Patitucci’s bass like hands into a leather glove. This is music that moves!
