Tiento draws its name from the Spanish musical form known for introspective exploration, which aligns closely with the album’s meditative character and musical lineage.

A Collaborative Production
Tiento marks a new chapter in Green Flash Music’s growing roster of collaborators. Produced by Grammy and Latin Grammy-nominated composer John Finbury, the album reflects a shared artistic curiosity between composer and guitarist.
Finbury, known for his work in Brazilian jazz and chamber music, brings a producer’s ear grounded in lyrical phrasing and structural clarity. In Tiento, his role was to support Evans’ vision and capture the guitar’s natural resonance in an intimate, unadorned setting.
